The only way to obtain his cooperation: Agree to sign his magical contracts. The core mechanic centers around negotiating these contractual rules – “clauses”. During negotiations, Edgar and Liora trade clauses to further their own goals. The player can construct custom clauses to force Edgar to use certain skills during combat, assist in exploration – or simply pay the weekly bills to treat Liora’s boyfriend, Rean, from the deadly illness that’s devouring him from the inside. Edgar, on the other hand, will try to corrupt Liora into becoming his type of woman – changing her outfit, hairstyle, dying her hair, even her behavior and manner of speech.
