Play the whole game as a different character with their own skills and gameplay! Ironically the best 3D Sonic game that I played, which I know is not a very high bar, but still, I purchased Sonic 06 as a gift for a birthday, and I waited 10+ years for a good rail section. These sliding levels are so much fun and have so much mid-air escapism, actually so good, and probably the most well-implemented version of this type of gameplay.  Now the game is not just a linear runner, well it kinda is, but the way they designed the levels with the forks, you can pretty much play it as a collection game and explore different parts of the stages, and I am pretty sure it’s intentional.
