Frightening creatures roam the town, as you explore Saint Rhodes in search of clues to help you survive. A slightly interesting mechanic early on in this first-person horror game: your character wears glasses, and when it rains, he needs to press “SPACE” to intermittently wipe them down, lest the screen get covered with too many drops! I mean: it doesn’t entirely work, as looking through glasses doesn’t look precisely like that, but…nice idea, just the same (later on you rub off other things, like cobwebs and blood). Let’s face it, people: first-person horror games can use all the fresh-ish ideas they can get by this point in gaming history… Other early impressions: the graphics are nice but not awe-inspiring.
