The Smurfs are well-prepared, and they have the SmurfoMix and an unexpected ally in Gargamel! Anyone who enjoyed the original game should appreciate Prisoner of the Green Stone, even though it would benefit from less third-person shooting. The visual direction is excellent, and the controls all seem really accurate. Nevertheless, some of the geometry in this game is just plain ugly, and it feels uncomfortable constrained by the Switch technology. The Smurfs all look fantastic, mostly as background items, although Gargamel is also a little off. These days, it’s annoying to see cleanly defined polygon edges.
