Even though it’s far shorter than I anticipated, the charming gameplay and lovely artwork of this indie game create a pleasant, tranquil atmosphere with lots of hidden gems to find. The game SANYA is about me. Me at eight or ten years old, maybe? Even though the game is quite brief—less than two hours—it seems to be the ideal “size” for the narrative it presents. The game really doesn’t have a lot of story. It’s best described as an entwining ball of short stories that harken back to the childhoods shared by individuals my age and from my origin.
