Darksburg is a cooperative roguelite action game where you must team up to escape the hordes of Infected that have decided to settle down in the quaint little town of Darksburg. Assume the role of one of the heroic Survivors each with their own unique skills and personalities, power them up with the numerous perks and skills you will come across throughout your runs and defeat the nefarious revenants and legion of undead that have come to plague this formerly peaceful city. First off, I’ve played this game faaaaaar more than I thought after playing the first run, at the point that I’ve unlocked most of the upgrades and items the game has to offer. That is the thing, the game is short. And I mean you can technically finish the whole thing in 1-2 hours if you really want to. The game is set up so the map changes somewhat between each run, the drops are different and the “ability power-ups” you can choose from are randomly(?) generated. When you defeat the final boss, you climb up a tier and you unlock a harder difficulty. This change in difficulty is usually in the form of one or more debuffs(which also are randomly chosen). The game also has an “upgrade tree” and you get to unlock and choose different items that can make it easier to counter different situations and to tweak your preferred playstyle. All this combined makes the “replayability” skyrocket.
