Although there isn’t much content—you can complete all of the achievements in three to four hours—the gameplay more than makes up for it. Combat is straightforward with your shots, reloading is unusual in that you must dash to reload, powerups are simple to comprehend and increase your stats (damage, fire speed, range, etc.), and meta growth is straightforward. It’s early in the review period, but this one has pleasantly pleased me. Galaia’s entire architecture, from the in-run improvements to the meta-progression permanent upgrades, is really well thought out.
