if you’re not familiar with the game, at its core it’s as simple as placing black and white stones on a board with the goal of having more territory by the end than the opponent. surrounding a stone of the opposite color (stripping it of its liberties) removes said stone. it’s obviously more nuanced and complicated when you get into it and the game provides some voiced semi-interactive tutorials to get newbies started. they’re available in several languages and you can play with chinese, japanese and korean rules. there’s even a ‘suggest moves’ setting, though those games won’t affect your ranking. This game, its career mode, and all of its practices, can teach you how to swim.
