Sorcery! 3 takes the adventure to the wilds of the Baklands and creates a fully open-world experience, and will be out shortly on Steam. Sorcery! 4 is due later this year, to finish the adventure. Each part can be played on its own, or you can load your character from one part to the next, carrying over equipment, stats, and narrative choices. Part 1 is great. It’s everything this should be – multiple paths, choices at every turn, and the fact it’s not always best to explore every suspicious area or talk to every dodgy person. Part 2 and onwards is where things get mindnumbing. In Part 2, you have to discover lines to a spell which will open the gate at the end.
