The Complex: Expedition takes place in 1988, You are a Magwave researcher sent into the Complex with your team to investigate a mysterious situation. When that expedition goes horribly wrong, the player is left alone and lost, wandering the seemingly infinite maze of hallways. This is a psychological horror experience based on the “Backrooms” urban legend. View the world through a VHS camera and follow along a storyline involving an expedition into the Backrooms. Any gripes I have are more due to it being early access so aren’t really fair criticisms as I’m sure it’ll be fixed upon full release. BREWPUB SIMULATOR

I did find an unfinished part of the map and i fell into an infinite void but honestly it kind of fits with the whole vibe of the backrooms so I’m not even upset over it I just avoid the area. But overall this is a great improvement on the first, there is way more to explore and it doesn’t feel like you’re being guided because I legit got lost a few times and it took my a while to find the elevators so it really is just the backrooms. I do like the entity that just appears and vanishes like it doesn’t wanna kill you but it’s just messing with you. I have been eagerly anticipating the release of this hyperrealistic backrooms game for what feels like an eternity.
