Train Frontier Classic is a stylized landscape building and multiplayer train riding sandbox, inspired by the fun of model railroad building. The first train simulator I ever played, way back in ~2012, as Train Frontier Express on XBox Live. Untold scores of memories lie within this little simulator, but, despite the rose-colored glasses of nostalgia, this game holds it’s own. It’s not the GREATEST train simulator of all time, hell, I wouldn’t even reliably call it a simulator, but as a sim-esque train game, it’s pretty good. THE VANISHING OF ETHAN CARTER

This is a great game if you’re a railfanner like me. Though the only thing to complain about is how the derailments are all just the train tipping over and catching fire in every scenario. You could make different animations to make the crashes more realistic than just going 90 mph on a straight, only to tip off the track for no reason in particular. You could also add a feature where you can design your own engine and a working crossing. Anyway, besides that, this game is great. love trains or model railroading. It has a great sandbox for driving cars and trains and walking as figurines. You can build your own model set from your own PC now.
